Immediate Results…

I was speaking with a friend earlier this week, who like me, quit her full-time job to set up her own business.

She had all the same doubts, was it the right thing to do, is she good enough to do it and so on.

Fast forward 2 years, and she and her business are thriving, and this is how I met her by being one of her first clients, and since then we have become good friends and often talk about life and business.

She was telling me before Christmas about how she wanted to get back into fitness, and invest in her overall wellbeing, and that she enjoyed boxercise. Lured by the promise of boxercise, she ventured to a session at the gym, unaware of what truly awaited.

The session was not what my friend expected, as there were squats, sit-ups, press-ups, and pull ups involved. And whilst she felt great afterward, and is committing to going on a regular basis, she said that when she woke up the next day, she was disappointed that she had no ABS…. we laughed about this.

Because typically, we think by putting in a one-time good effort, we will get noticeable results almost immediately.

In truth, we know it takes more than one session to see results, and reap the rewards, no matter what it is we are trying to achieve.

Another truth, we can be lazy, and will give up, because not everyone wants to put in the arduous work – CONSISTENTLY.

We live in fast paced world, and naturally we want results – FAST.

However, that old saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

And if the goals or dreams that we want to achieve are that easy, we would all be doing it.

If you want to succeed whether in life or business, of course you must put in the work, take small steps, be consistent, be patient, reflect, recognise milestones, and celebrate them.

It is not always going to, or supposed to be easy, and how else would we really learn if everything were a short-cut method to becoming what we desire and want.

Remember, when you keep moving forward, are consistent with your actions, you are one step closer to achieving that goal.
